We were on an excursion at lunchtime when a jet suddenly flew relatively low over us with an enormous noise.

Our son got a huge fright and was totally terrified for 20 minutes. We didn't know for sure whether it was just the acute threat or whether the jet was connected to fears about war issues (Russia, Ukraine, Israel, etc.).

My wife told me that something had definitely been activated in him, the way he instinctively reacted and behaved.

We didn't pursue the matter any further at first, as he quickly calmed down and distracted himself, but we didn't have to wait long for the reaction: early in the evening he complained that his left ear hurt. The pain got worse towards the evening, but was still bearable.

So it was now clear that he had reacted with the SBS of the left middle ear mucosa, i.e. the conflict content of "getting rid of hearing in relation to a danger", which is absolutely appropriate and understandable. It was still active during the afternoon and then resolved itself, causing the endodermal middle ear mucosa to swell and the pressure in the ear to cause ear pain.

However, the symptoms did not just last overnight, but for two whole days. The swelling in the ear probably prevented the wound secretion from draining properly for a long time, so the pressure/pain symptoms lasted longer than the SBS.
