For about two months, the woman had been experiencing pain of varying intensity in her left elbow, which sometimes extended to her forearm. During this period, she had not had any accidents or undergone any unusually strenuous physical activity that could have been the cause. So we set out together to find a self-esteem conflict on the part of her partner, related to not being able to hug/hold her or pushing her away, and quickly found what we were looking for.

She lives alone with her two children and has been in a long-term relationship (separate apartments) with a man who is also divorced and has a 14-year-old daughter who lives with her mother. They have arranged their relationship so that her children spend every other weekend with their father, allowing them both to enjoy an undisturbed weekend together. Three months before the pain began, her boyfriend announced that he would be taking his daughter to live with him because her mother was not looking after her properly. This caused a conflict for her, as she feared for her undisturbed weekends. On the one hand, she couldn't have her boyfriend all to herself (hold him/hug him), but on the other hand, she couldn't turn away his daughter. She felt ashamed of this because she liked the girl and could see that she was better off with her father, but biological conflicts are not controlled by the mind.

After the new situation had “settled in” after a few weeks, she came to terms with it. However, as there were repeated unpleasant situations in this context, she entered into a state of suspended healing.

Through a conversation with her boyfriend and a corresponding solution in which they created clear “islands of togetherness,” she finally healed and the pain disappeared after about two weeks.
