I got a cat on June 9th who was simply left behind by her owner when he moved house. A week ago she had an eye infection on her left side.
She has now arrived happily with me and has obviously resolved her conflict “out of sight”.
I would also like to mention that I have not been to the vet, I have only washed her left eye twice. She doesn't like to be touched and I would only have risked another conflict (trip to the vet/stress) if it had gotten worse.

She is a strong young Bengal cat and is now completely healthy again. I gave her lots of love and attention when she wanted it.

The language of animals. Thanks to the biological laws of nature, we can at least understand what stressed her and what healed her. Here it was a visual separation conflict (“where is my family?”). The solution was a nice new home.
Speaking of vets: I recently asked a (small animal) vet what proportion of her practice's turnover comes from vaccinations. I was flabbergasted: about 70 - 80 %, she said.
